Our Cork casino sits within the Time Square leisure and retail complex in Ballincollig, a busy commercial area with straightforward road access, public transport and on-site parking. It feels like part of the wider development rather than a standalone building.

Tralee has its own character. Russell Street is right in the centre of town, close to the main streets, and most visitors arrive on foot from nearby bus stops or local parking. The casino blends into the normal daytime and evening rhythm of the area, people drop in as part of their usual route.

What gaming looks like here

We run both venues under gaming licences issued by the Irish Revenue Commissioners, operating within the rules set out in the Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Act 2019. That legislation sets the framework for what we can and cannot put on the floor, so our offer follows it closely.

Under the current Irish system, a classic table-game setup with live dealers and a Las Vegas feel is not the typical format the licence is designed around. Instead, our model is based on electronic gaming machines in a local, accessible environment. Think machine-led play in an arcade-style room, not a resort complex. That is the standard licensed format at both our Cork and Kerry venues.

On arrival, staff on the floor can go through what types of machines are active, how staking works and any house rules that are specific to that venue. If you are not sure about bet sizes, payouts, or simply how to start a session on a particular terminal, asking a member of the team in person is the simplest route. We expect those questions and handle them openly.

Visiting Cork

Time Square in Ballincollig is signposted from the surrounding roads and easy to find once you reach the area. There is parking within the development, and from there our entrance is clearly marked inside the complex. Navigation is fairly straightforward, especially if you already know the retail side of Time Square.

One practical point from our side: if you are travelling a bit further or coming in late, a quick call first is sensible. Our Cork venue is open from 10:00 to 02:00, but to avoid any wasted journey it helps to ring Cork on +353 21 482 6867 shortly before you set off.

Once you are at the door, the visit usually runs like this:

  1. If you want an overview of the floor, speak to the person at the front desk on arrival.
  2. Use the designated machine terminals to exchange your cash and load credit for play.
  3. When you finish, follow the instructions on the machine to collect winnings, or go to the cashier point if staff direct you there.
  4. If a machine freezes, pays oddly, or you have any concern at all during play, flag it to staff straight away or call the venue number from your phone.

We do not require membership cards or pre-registration forms. The setup is deliberately walk-in, so casual and regular visitors follow the same entry process.

Visiting Kerry

Our Kerry venue is located on Russell Street in central Tralee. Most of the town centre is within comfortable walking distance, and visitors driving in use nearby street parking or one of the local car parks. Access is simple: you come to the door during opening hours and walk in, just as you would in Cork.

The Kerry venue is open from 10:00 to 01:00. Before you head over, it is still worth phoning +353 66 710 2772 to check that current hours match your plans. When you step inside, a member of staff can give you a short run-through of what is live on the machines that day and any small differences compared with Cork.

Cash is used to load the electronic machines. If you are unsure which note denominations are accepted or how to cash out, just confirm it with staff at the start rather than guessing.

For anything that comes up after your visit - lost ticket queries, follow-up on a fault you reported, general questions - the same Kerry number above is the right contact during opening times.

Corporate background

Both venues are operated by Jaykay Leisure Limited, an Irish company incorporated on 20 July 2007. Our registered office is at 4a South Cork Industrial Estate, Vicars Road, Pouladuff, Co. Cork, T12 CFY9. On the Irish Companies Register our company status is shown as Normal.

Gaming licence records linked to the Pouladuff registered office are listed in the Irish Revenue Commissioners’ Register of Gaming Licences, covering entries for Unit 11, Tus Abhaile, Ballincollig, Co. Cork and 12 Russell Street, Tralee, Co. Kerry. That register is maintained under Section 7 of the Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Act 2019 and covers all approved gaming premises and operators active in Ireland. Our entries sit within that list on the same basis as other licensed operators, reflecting that we work inside the standard compliance framework.

Since 2007, Jaykay Leisure Limited has focused on the physical leisure and gaming segment in Cork and Kerry. We have not built out a national chain or an online product. The model is intentionally regional: a small number of local venues, staffed locally, serving the communities around them.

Age policy and responsible gaming

The legal minimum age for gaming in our premises is 18. We apply that rule both at the door and around the machines. Where someone appears under the legal age threshold, our staff will ask for proof of age and may refuse entry if documentation is not provided. It is a firm operating requirement, not a loose guideline.

For us, responsible gaming is a day-to-day practice, not a line hidden in the small print. If a player feels they are spending too long or too often at our venues and wants to put limits in place, we can handle that in person. At both locations we support self-exclusion requests and can point visitors towards relevant support services where needed.

Licence approvals are connected to standards around premises suitability, operational controls and adherence to gaming rules. If you are ever concerned about conduct, behaviour, or how play is being managed at one of our sites, the first step is to raise it directly with staff on the floor. If that is not possible in the moment, contacting us via the venue phone numbers gives another route to pass on those concerns.

Getting in touch

At present we do not run a central email inbox or online contact form for JayKay Leisure Casino Ireland. All contact is handled locally through the individual venues during opening hours so that queries go straight to the team on-site.
